GENERAL MEETING (MAYORAL CANDIDATES):  MAY 16,  7 P.M________

Another one of our good neighbors has agreed to let us hold our annual general meeting, namely, the Elks Club located on the south side of Lonas Drive. There is lots of parking and easy access. In addition to getting an update from the police, we have invited mayoral candidates to each address a common set of questions.  Other local officials will be available to answer your questions, after the meeting.

7th ANNUAL COMMUNITY WIDE YARD SALE:  JUNE 18,   8 A.M.

The yard sale will be advertised in the Knoxville News-Sentinel and on Craig’s List. We will put signs up early in that week. In addition, you should put balloons on your mailbox that day. And if you do not live on a frequently traveled road, we encourage you to put out additional small signs directing traffic to your house.  Whether you are selling or buying, we look forward to your participation!

                                          CHANGES IN OUR AREA___________________________

In late January we received word from Terry Faulkner, City Tree Board member (584-3659) that the city arborist would be supervising the planting of maple and oak trees on the north side of Papermill Drive to provide some protection from interstate noise and pollution. And, the Papermill Bluff Greenway was recently completed with a great view of the interstate.

You have the opportunity to get a free recycling cart by either calling 311 or going to the website www.doyourpartwiththecart.com.
